Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program

Resource Management
June 30, 2010

The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program administers a nationwide research and education grants program to advance environmentally sound and profitable farming systems. Established by Congress in 1988, SARE grants are separated into four regions, North Central, Northeast, Southern, and Western, with an outreach facility hosted by the University of Maryland and University of Vermont. Researchers, agricultural educators, farmers and ranchers, and students in the United States can apply for grants with their regional office once a call for proposals has been released.
